Terms of use
Effective 9 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-09
1. The service
ClassBoard Games lets educators publish self-contained HTML classroom games, play them in an isolated browser player, and share or remix them according to the selected licence. Public browsing and play do not require a creator account.
2. Creator accounts
Creator accounts are intended for teachers and education professionals. You are responsible for your account, your published material, and keeping your sign-in details private. Students should not create creator accounts or submit personal information through games.
3. Your content and licence
You keep ownership of content you are entitled to publish. When publishing, you confirm that you created the work or have permission to use every included element. The licence you select tells other users whether they may view, copy, download, or remix it. You also give ClassBoard Games the limited permission needed to store, reproduce, secure, display, back up, and deliver the game as part of the service.
4. Safe publishing
Do not upload malicious code, tracking intended to identify students, credential collection, illegal content, harassment, hate, explicit material, or content that infringes another person's rights. Do not attempt to escape the player sandbox, probe accounts, overload the service, or interfere with moderation.
5. Moderation and availability
We may review, quarantine, unpublish, or remove material and suspend accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, rights, reliability, or legal compliance. The service is evolving, so uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Creators should keep their own downloaded copy of every game.
6. Educational judgment
Games are contributed by independent creators. Teachers remain responsible for checking that a game is accurate, age-appropriate, accessible, and suitable for their learners before classroom use.
7. Changes
Material changes will be reflected by a new terms version. Continued publishing may require accepting the updated version.
